Charlie Wilson Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park Concert reviews
Not the best of Charlie
I have seen Charlie perform on multiple occasions and he always gives an outstanding performance. This performance was sub par. Not only was Charlie Wilson not his usual self,but it appears the sound system was flawed. Charlies voice was in and out. Sometimes couldnt even here his back up singer covering for him and we had very good seats. You could obviously tell there was a level of discomfort in his body that did not allow his normal dancing and movement. He spent more time at piano pretending to play(camera got this non action) Didnt do his many plethora of songs we expected. I came to hear him, not his saxophonist, band or back up singers. Dont get me wrong, It was not a horrible show. Definitely was not his best. It was just alright. I hope on his next show here in the Bay Area he gives the 100 we missed this time.
